Andrew Robertson Awarded 2023 CNSC Innovation Grant

Dr. Andrew Robertson has been awarded the 2023 CNSC Innovation Grant. The Innovation Grant is funded by Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and administered by the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists in order to enhance the safe use of ionizing radiation in medicine and to support the creation of tools that address radiation safety and security issues. Dr. Robertson’s project will address radiation shielding for ultra-high dose rate electron FLASH radiation therapy at BC Cancer Vancouver and beyond. Congratulations Andrew!

Jakob Marshall Wins 3rd Place in Young Investigator’s Symposium

Congratulations for Jakob Marshall! Jakob was awarded 3rd Place at this year’s COMP Young Investigators Symposium in Montreal for his presentation, “Trajectory VMAT optimization using a 4π intensity map.” A fantastic way to acknowledge a fantastic researcher. Well done!

Aria Malhotra proceeds to UBC 3 Minute Thesis Finals

Aria’s 3 Minute Thesis presentation, In your breast interest: A surface level talk about preventing skin toxicity, proceeded through the semi-finals yesterday and she will be part of the UBC 3 Minute Thesis Finals tomorrow, Thursday, March 16th at 12pm in the Robert H.
