It’s that time of year again. Expecting coughing, sneezing, and malaise to abound … it’s flu season!
The PHSA effort is now underway:
In the coming days, we will launch our annual flu shot campaign with the goal of immunizing as many health care workers as possible before December.
The campaign supports PHSA’s influenza control policy, which requires health care workers either have a flu shot or wear a mask in patient care areas during the flu season. The policy applies to all health authority staff (unionized and excluded), physicians, students, volunteers, contractors and visitors to PHSA’s acute care facilities.

PHSA’s annual flu shot campaign starts October 20. I encourage you to get your flu shot early to avoid lines as the flu season nears.
